I am a professional musician with a background in education. I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Anderson University and a Master's of Music degree in Choral Conducting from Colorado State University. I started playing piano at 4 years old (thanks, Mom!) and studied classical piano for 17 years. I taught middle school and high school band and choir for 3 years before returning to graduate school for my master's. I now sing in several professional choral ensembles across Colorado. Piano students can expect structured lessons that include music theory, technique work, and the building of essential skills such as sight-reading. I will meet students at their current skill level, and we will work together to meet the student's goals and figure out the best way to get there. My personal passion is classical music, which I believe lays the foundation for other genres, instruments, and areas of music. Proper technique, knowledge of music theory, and a trained ear will take you far!
