    About Che B.

Che B. is a violinist and composer born in Brooklyn, New York in 2000. When Che was thirteen he had an audition that would change his life. It was an opportunity to study at the Mozart Academy started by pianist Caroline Stoessinger. This was his most important audition as it granted him professional private lessons for the first time. Three years prior to this, Che studied violin in his middle school. During this time his love for the violin led him to research masters such as David Garret, Itzhak Perlman, and Noel Pointer. After about a year, he knew that the lessons in school were not enough. Che’s thirst and curiosity to learn more about this fascinating instrument led him to teach himself through YouTube. He would spend his free time teaching himself scales, vibrato, and tutorials on pieces such as Lightly Row Allegretto, and Allegro. As a focused and determined student at Mozart Academy, Che was able to sharpen his technique and skills. During his first year, he focused on learning new repertoire, etudes, and scales. During the second year, he advanced to Bach, Mozart, Kreisler, and Schubert. Soon it was time for Che to audition for programs that would supplement his high school career at Talent Unlimited in New York City. He participated in the InterSchool Orchestra, The Usdan Center for the Creative & Performing Arts, The National Youth Orchestra II, The Juilliard MAP Program, The American Composers Orchestra, and The Manhattan School of Music Pre-College. He has performed in many spaces such as Carnegie Hall, Symphony Space, and Kimmel Center where he played alongside the Philadelphia Orchestra. Some career highlights include playing background for Grammy award-winning artist Esperanza Spalding and having the New York Philharmonic perform his original composition, “If We Must Die.”
