This is Charlotte and I am a recent graduate in Piano Performance from the Jacobs School of Music. I am currently based in Bloomington and I would love to put forward my services as a piano teacher, accompanist and performer.

Whether you want to learn a few Disney tunes or a Beethoven sonata, I am excited to work on your project together, and help achieve your goals!

During the past two years, I have been an associate instructor in secondary piano, where I was entrusted with group classes and private students at IU. Since high school, I have worked with a lot of talented students from 3 to 30. During our lessons, we enjoy a lot of interactive activities and I really enjoy making progress together and growing together with my students.

As a musician, I am also actively seeking to grow. In 2019, I was named the alternate for the State of Indiana in the MTNA Competition. As a firm believer in positive social changes through arts and humanities, I have been engaged in performances and outreach programs in Bloomington. Besides collaborating with the ballet department, I have also worked with local organizations for benefit concerts, outreach performances and service-learning programs.

I truly treasure the time we have together as teachers and students, and I hope you will enjoy Classical music and playing the piano more, as we take this journey together.

About Charlotte T.

Named the alternate of the MTNA competition in Indiana in 2019, Charlotte has brought exciting performances to concert venues and communities in Europe, the States and Hong Kong.

Starting piano lessons at the age of six, piano has always been a great hobby. It has, nonetheless, taken her quite a while to realize music is her passion. After graduating from college with a major in International Business, Charlotte went on to study her masters at Temple University, where she was coached by Clipper Erickson and Charles Abramovic. Since then, she has attended prestigious music festivals and has benefited from master classes and coaching by Anton Nel, Douglas Humpherys, André Laplante, Logan Skelton and John Perry, among others. She also had the privilege to study with Jeffrey Cohen at Manhattan School of Music and the renowned concert pianist Roberto Plano at Indiana University.

Besides the modern piano, Charlotte enjoys playing the fortepiano, with a special interest in works by Schubert. When she is not practicing, you will find her baking in the kitchen, while contemplating the next travel destinations.
