I would like to share with you my experience of being a drums student at the New England Conservatory with Charles Weller. I learnt a wide range of topics and exercises with Charles. Each time I asked him about a new subject, he gave me plenty of tools and useful tips. Charles knows a lot and also knows how to teach it. I had more than half a dozen of drums teachers, but Charles is the one that helped me to deal with some of my weaknesses, taught me how to learn efficiently and had helped me to make the maximum progress in the shortest time ! I strongly recommend to learn with Charles Weller !!
Charlie is a fantastic music teacher, and an incredible musician. Just go see this guy play, and see who he plays with. So fun to work with and one of the best drummers around :-)
Charlie is exactly what I was looking for. My situation is unique but that didn't phase him. By lesson's end, I felt more like a partner in this process than a student. And that's how I operate the best, and learn the most. I'm excited. After all these years, I'm finally going to learn to play the keys!
