I have been teaching ballet and coaching cheerleading for over 7 years to toddler aged children, preschoolers, elementary aged youth, middle and high-schoolers, and adults in the studio setting, community/recreation centers, after school programs, camps, and in home private lessons. I also own and operate a mobile dance and cheerleading after school program, Charlene's Dance N Cheer (CDC), offered in over 20 locations throughout San Diego County. I pride myself in my professionalism, high quality, structured (but fun) classes, outgoing personality, and ability to build long lasting relationships with clients, community leaders, and school administration. I also am excellent at tailoring my teaching style and class structure accordingly based on the age of the client and have TONS of experience working with EVERY age group (and I, along with my clients, think I am good at it)! I have my B.A. and M.A. from California State University San Marcos and have been dancing and performing since the age of 5. I am a classically trained ballet dancer, was a member of my high school's cheerleading squad, and a dancer on the Cougar Women's Dance Team in college. I travel to you whether it be in home or your location of choice for private lessons, short-term clinics to sharpen or learn a new skill, birthday parties, or events.
