Soprano with over seven years of classical training, four at a collegiate level. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and have extensive study in the areas of music theory, sight reading, dictation, music history, vocal literature and vocal pedagogy. *** Lesson Details *** As a voice teacher, I will provide a well-rounded approach to singing, focusing on establishing healthy singing technique, as well as strengthening a singer's musicianship and sight-reading skills. Each student will receive an individualized lesson that addresses his or her unique vocal needs and goals. I am available to help prepare for auditions, performances in a choral or soloist setting, or just help you sing with proper support, richer tone, and increased confidence! My teaching is based in the Italian singing technique, which focuses on aligned posture, expansion and resistance to collapse of the diaphragm, and a balanced mix of nasal and mouth resonance (chiaroscuro). This approach can be carried into all styles of singing. I have experience performing and teaching many styles, ranging from opera to art song to jazz. I am available for in-home and Skype lessons.
