Catherine received her classical ballet training in New Hampshire with the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, completing pre-primary through intermediate examinations. She received Silver and Gold with Distinction medals from Mignon Furman of the American Academy of Dance. She continued her training under the Vaganova method with Mary McCarthy, as well with Walnut Hill, Ballet Workshop of New England, Boston Ballet, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
Under the direction of Peggy Lyman, Catherine was a scholarship recipient to attend the Hartt School, University of Hartford and holds a BFA in Dance Performance. Catherine has performed soloist and principal roles in several classical ballets as well as modern, musical theatre, and original contemporary works.
In 2009, Catherine made her New York City debut with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet Company at Lincoln Center. She has also danced with Eastern Connecticut Ballet, Mystic Ballet, Neville Dance Theatre, Adams Company Dance, and Exit 12 Dance Company. She has had the honor of training and working with Sergei Venaev, Bartlett Sher, Gelsey Kirkland, Dou Dou Huang, Truman Finney, and Susan Brooker. Other credits include: Dansco, ecco Shoe, PBS International, PRADA, and The New York Times.
Catherine has been teaching and holding master classes through out New England and New York since 2007.
