Sharing the joy of music is what brings me to teaching.  I love seeing students progress and be able to express their own soul's nature through music.  Having played the flute and piano for many years and taught both, I have lots of ways of helping students get beyond the resistance to practicing.  My profession for many years was psychotherapy so I'm good at helping students understand their own motivations and am able to inspire them.

My goal is to see you succeed and learn to express yourself through music. 
I tailor my methods you as a particular individual , using my knowledge of psychological learning theory.  In this way, you'll make fast progress and experience less frustration along the way.  I've been teaching since 1980 and continue to bring the enthusiasm of a performer to every lesson.  I have been the principal flutist in the Wabash Chamber Orchestra since 2008
