I have a Master's Degree in Vocal Pedagogy from Peabody Conservatory at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. I began teaching during my final year of undergraduate School at Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, AL. I began taking piano lessons at the age of five and played int he school orchestral program throughout my k-12 years. My hope is that all students will learn at their comfortable pace in ways specific to their learning style. In more than 25 years teaching experience, I've learned that students will excel in and find enjoyment within an environment fostering self-confidence and self-expression. Of particular interest to me is bridging student interests, intra-curricular, and other collaborative repertoire assignments with lessons. I will have accomplished my life's passion when practice rooms, recording studios, audiences and stages have past and present students who continue to love music and support the performing arts.
