Violin with Carlyn B.

Hi, my name is Carlyn! I love teaching and helping students learn how to play the cello and violin. I graduated with my Bachelors in Music Performance from UCF in December, 2023! I started playing cello at the age of ten but music has always been in my life. I started going to orchestra concerts as a baby and grew up doing dance and gymnastics. Throughout school, I performed in my schools orchestra, marching band, symphonic band, show choir and my local youth symphony. I got to march in the Macys Day Parade and play at Lincoln Center. I recently just returned from Italy for a month long chamber music festival! I have had my fair share of amazing teachers and ones that I didn’t click with. I believe that learning music should be a positive experience filled with joy but also passion and dedication. I understand that life happens and things can be stressful, but communication is key. Depending on the amount of energy you put into something, you will get the same amount out of it! I also believe that smaller amounts of focused practice is better than practice marathons.
