Singing

Levels Taught:
Beginner
I aim to teach students how to use their voices expressively with proper understanding of vocal technique. Students will learn a variety of warm ups, exercises, and techniques to achieve a desired sound. I will work with students to accomplish agreed upon goals including technical, performance, and artistic/creative development. Additionally, students have the option learn to read music, sight sing, learn about music theory and harmony, and to cultivate skill in singing and playing a desired instrument at the same time.

Passionate, creative, hard-working musician with experience in music therapy, music education, and early childhood music and movement in the foothills of Colorado. I facilitate spaces in which the healing power of music can shape and transform student's lives, providing a means for creative, emotional, and social expression. With over 10 years of performance experience and a degree from Berklee College of Music, I bring a dedication to mastery and artistic development to all of my students. Using a person-centered approach, I am flexible in my teaching style and aim to support the arising needs of students. I have experience teaching flute, ukulele, guitar, piano, voice, and drums, with people ranging from 4-80 years of age. Students can expect to work on skills that support a well rounded musical lifestyle, including practice strategy, technique, tone development, joyous playing, scales, harmony, performance coaching, composition/songwriting, repertoire, improvisation, social media outreach, band coaching/arranging, and artist development. I aim to meet the ongoing needs of students. I look forward to meeting you!
