Hi! My name is Carissa - I am energetic and passionate about music! I teach ukulele and voice because they are my favorite instruments. While studying music therapy at Elizabethtown College, I focused extensively on bringing music to people of all ages and abilities through music therapy and performance. I primarily studied voice while also learning piano, guitar, and ukulele. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music because I later discovered my passion for teaching! I have 4 years of experience teaching private lessons and many more years of experience sharing music with others in choirs, preschool music classrooms, and ukulele clubs. I believes that all individuals are inherently musical and that talent can be tapped into through patient and compassionate guidance. I encourage all of my students to listen to the music around them and engage their imagination to create a unique musical experience. "Getting to know you, getting to know all about you..." I love to learn your music and help you sing and play your best. Playing preferred music while learning technique and theory is the best way to stick with your instrument and enjoy making music for years to come.
