Hello, and welcome to my profile! My name is Cameron, and I am here to help you reach your full potential. As a performer, I have been working in the North Carolina Music scene since I was 14 years old, in the rock/pop and classical worlds. I have extensive training in both, and want to pass it on to you. If you want to learn to sing opera like the great Pavarotti, I can help. If you want to belt out your favorite musical theater pieces, I am here for you. If you want to be able to scream into a mic all night in a rock club and never even worry about losing your voice, I am your man! In addition, for all of those classical singers struggling to make the move from the opera to a rock setting, this difficult transition is one that I have made myself, and I can guide you through it. I can also teach you the joys of playing bass guitar! Supporting the groove is just as much fun as leading it. Rock, pop, jazz, whatever your heart desires, I want to help you learn to excel in it. I will include more theory instruction here, as it is a bit more necessary to understand how to appropriately ground your group in the deepest bass groove possible. More than that, I am here to help you. With that in mind, think of what you want to be, and let's make it happen! *** Lesson Details *** Lessons with me will be very personal and laid back. Students (myself included) learn the best when they are comfortable with their teacher. This atmosphere encourages dialogue, which is a necessity between a teacher and student. The curriculum will be tailor-made for each student. The first lesson will be an assessment scenario, after which I will design a lesson plan that fits the student's needs and ambitions as a performer. In vocal lessons, I will focus on breath support and good physical habits, as all other aspects of singing fall apart without them. In addition to this, I will focus on ear training, to make sure the student will always be able to find his/her pitch with ease. Concerning the bass guitar, I will again focus on good hand techniques at the beginning, to make sure the player's full potential is unlocked. *** Travel Equipment *** I can provide amp/bass guitar for bass guitar lessons. I have a keyboard I can bring to assist in vocal lessons, though the if the student could provide this, it would be preferable. Staff paper, books, etc. for theory lessons can be provided. *** Specialties *** In both bass guitar and singing, I would specialize in the rock/pop genres. With regards to music theory, I have the most experience with classical theory, though I also have considerable experience with pop/jazz theory as a songwriter/performing musician.
