I was once an individual with no musical talent. All of my life prior to 9th grade. A small interest in Snare drumming and percussion allowed me to by 12th grade receive a music scholarship to Bethune Cookman University to become part of the Marching Wildcats Marching Band. A unit of 315+ Members. This made me a member of their Percussion Section (Sudden Impact Drumline) Music is a skill that anyone can become great at. Whether you possess a talent for it currently or not, the skills are acquired through knowledgeable practice, along with patience, persistence and drive. Music has a language, which is its sheer music. “It’s not always about an instinctive impulse, sometimes you just need to learn how to properly read the manual.”
