I have been playing guitar now for 20 years, and teaching privately for 10 years. At the age of 7, I began performing in public, and have been doing so ever since. Additionally, I released my first album at the age of 14, my next one at 20, and have released two more albums since. My training and education includes rock guitar, jazz guitar, blues guitar and classical guitar. The classical guitar studies were with Tom Elliott in CT, and these also included studies in music theory, orchestration, and composition. Thus, I have experience in classical composition, as well as jazz performance and rock performance (influenced by guitarists such as Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson and Steve Morse).
My teaching experience includes private home lessons, as well as 5 years at the Cider Mill Elementary School in Wilton, CT (where I had 30 students a week) and the Canterbury School in New Milford, CT. Most recently, I have taught at Schmitt Music in Duluth, MN, as well as taught online lessons over the computer.
My goal is to allow the student to have fun on the guitar, and through the instrument find a way for creative expression.
