Brittiny is a classical and contemporary church pianist. She resides in Metro Detroit, Michigan. She is a very patient person who is dedicated to her students and focuses on accomplishing the needs and goals of her students. She likes to get to know her students interests and goals as well as their learning style in order to teach the most effectively. She has played the piano for ten years in church, for choirs and has worked as a piano teacher and vocal instructor. Her students have ranged from the ages of 5-60 years, all of which have gained a better knowledge and love for the piano. Brittiny's goal as a piano teacher is to help her students to love the piano and music as much as she does. Brittiny graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in music, concentrating in piano performance. Brittiny was the pianist for the Peterson Warren Academy choir for three years. She was the piano player, choir director and music coordinator for the Univeristy of Michigan student groups; Adventist students for Christ and Campus Hope Ministries, until she graduated in 2009. She is presently playing for different churches and is the lead pianist and vocal coach for her musical group. She has been giving private piano instructions for the past year and cannot wait to continue. *** Lesson Details *** I enjoy teaching and helping others learning about the piano. I am a patient, thorough and dedicated teacher. I will make sure that my student is able to achieve the personal and professional goals that we set together. My teaching style is very in depth, I teach classical, church, contemporary and gospel music genres. I can move at a fast pace or a slower pace, it mostly depends on the student. I feel that everyone has a different learning style and technique and it is best to work along those lines in order to attain the most promising outcome. I will create a very comprehensive lesson plan for the student incorporating their goals as well as my mine.
