Classical Piano with Brian C.

I am a singer/songwriter, pianist, and acoustic guitarist. I have experience playing both classical piano and keyboard, experience playing the acoustic guitar both live and in the studio, and I have experience as a writing, recording, and touring artist. I teach piano students of all ages in both beginner and intermediate skill levels. I studied classical piano for 15 years, and I have translated those skills to contemporary keyboard for over 10 years. I can teach piano students to read music notation and pursue expertise in the classical style, or to learn how to play contemporary music using chord charts. I teach acoustic guitar to all ages at the beginner level. After being self taught on the acoustic guitar, I studied 3 years of collegiate level acoustic styles. Students who learn from me can expect to learn how to read music notation, chord charts, and Nashville numbers. My undergraduate degree is in composition and songwriting. With these skills, as well as those that I gathered as a recording and touring artist, I can mentor songwriting students and give them the skills they need to be more dynamic and effective songwriters.
