I believe that above all, passion is the reason we start with something small, and turn it into something marvelous. I have taught high school mathematics for 6 years, and recently completed my masters in Computer Science. My passion for education extends past technical skills; I want my students to feel inspired to engage with the material in a way that empowers them to take the lead. I encourage asking questions, and use repetition to guide students to fluency. Interested in music lessons? Read on! I’ve been pursuing my love of music since I was 10 years old, taking piano lessons every week in Mrs. Blackburn’s home studio. She helped me develop a life-long love of music, and from there I took my passion to earn a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Central Washington University. I have experience in N.A.T.S. competitions, professional auditions, and most recently as a lead vocalist in Rise Up - The Hamilton Tribute Band. I love to build community, which is why I’ve created annual traditions in my high school choir like our showcase, fall retreat, and secret snowflake (ask me later).
