I have taught the art of piano playing since 1975 guiding hundreds of students in learning the skill of becoming an accomplished pianist, implementing keyboard theory, analyzing and improvising music and honing their performing abilities through various performing opportunities. I have studied and performed with world class concert pianist including, Alfred Teltschik, Dr. Anthony Pattin, Daniel Pollack, Oxana Yablonskaya, Dr. Tama Ungar, Vladmir Feltsman, Mykala Suk, Dr. Jerry Alan Bush. My students have been selected to perform in Masterclasses with Santiago Rodriguez, Oxana Yablonskaya, Yuri Rozum. I am a member of Local, State and Music Teachers National Association, Suzuki Association of The Americas, and National Guild of Piano Teachers. I have received honors from Alpha Theta Chi, Scholars Program United States Achievement Academy, Marquis' Who's Who of American Women and Teacher Laureate Tourgee DeBose International Piano Competition. I am also an adjudicator, performer and have authored articles in music publications. Besides all of that I'm a very good piano teacher and love teaching people how to play the piano.

I took piano lessons from Mrs. Talley from age 10 to age 17. Over that lengthy period of time, I came to realize that composing music is my true passion in life, a realization that I absolutely would not have attained without Mrs. Talley's invaluable guidance. To put it into perspective, I am 22 years old and finishing up my bachelor's degree in Music Theory/Composition, with the intention to continue pursuing the subject at the masters and doctoral level. I hope to be a theory/composition professor some day. Not only did Mrs. Talley provide me with excellent instruction for performing at the piano, she also facilitated my creative streak and let me arrange/compose songs for fun. She would even let me perform my compositions at recitals! These facts all point to what I think are Mrs. Talley's greatest qualities as a teacher: her love for music in all its forms, paired with her desire to see her students succeed at whatever aspect of music they do best in. I am truly grateful to her and I could not recommend another teacher any more highly!

My children have taken piano with Mrs. Talley for 9 years. Mrs. Talley has proven to be a phenomenal teacher who helps her students strive to reach their highest standards. She gives them ample opportunities to perform at recitals, guild and sonata competitions, and multiple other outlets which has helped with confidence building. When Covid halted everything else, Mrs. Talley didn’t skip a beat and followed through with video phone call lessons. There was a year when Mrs. Talley moved away and we had the experience of 2 other piano teachers during her absence. It is hard to find a teacher as dedicated and talented as she.
