Betsy has been teaching trumpet lessons for over 20 years and loves the incredible experience of seeing how dedication to playing trumpet can transform anyone. Every year, Betsy's students participate in Regional and All State Bands as well as the Tucson Philharmonia Youth Orchestra. Her students have participated in many summer music programs including Eastern Music Festival, Interlochen Arts Academy, Oberlin, Curry (NAU), and Tucson Brass Workshop. They have won prizes in competitions through the International Trumpet Guild, National Trumpet Competition, and Tucson Symphony Young Artist Competition. Many have gone on to major in trumpet at schools such as Vanderbilt, Arizona State University, Boston University, Yale University, the University of Arizona. Many others have chosen other wonderful career paths that have been positively influenced by having studied music. Betsy strongly believes that studying music develops creative problem solving, self-discipline, great communication skills, perseverance, and assertiveness, which are all skills that lead to success in any field.

Betsy Bright, trumpet, has been a member of the Tucson Symphony trumpet section since 2003 and she is also a member of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet, Monsoon Brass, True Concord Voices & Orchestra, and the Tucson Pops Orchestra. Additionally, Betsy has performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony, San Diego Symphony Orchestra, Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra

Betsy Bright, trumpet, has been a member of the Tucson Symphony trumpet section since 2003 and she is also a member of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet, Monsoon Brass, True Concord Voices & Orchestra, and the Tucson Pops Orchestra. Additionally, Betsy has performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony, San Diego Symphony Orchestra, Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, The Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Opera, American Wind Symphony, Britt Music Festival, Hot Springs Music Festival, and Bay View Music Festival.

​Betsy is also a deeply committed trumpet teacher. She has maintained a private trumpet studio since 1997 and she is the founder and director of Tucson Brass Workshop. Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Betsy studied at the Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. She graduated summa cum laude in 2003 with a Bachelor of Music in trumpet performance and a minor in composition.
