Guitar with Benjamin P.

I’m the lead guitarist, co-founder and bandleader of a 9-piece live hip-hop band in Boston. We have a monthly residency at a prestigious venue in Cambridge and will be going on tour this summer. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in May of 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Music Performance and a minor in Music Production. I have been playing guitar for over 10 years and have learned a variety of styles through that time. These include rock, alternative, blues, jazz, fusion, R&B, hip-hop and funk. One of the reasons I have pursued music so passionately is my first private teacher from whom I took lessons from the ages of 11-17. He was able to strike a balance between playing for fun and learning concepts on the guitar that I use to this day. My lessons are heavily influenced by this style, the most important thing you can do when learning an instrument is play every day and it’s important for that to be an appealing prospect. I want my students to enjoy what they learn in my lessons to the point where they are excited to practice and learn more. I will cater my lessons to each student, building a curriculum that is both fun and rewarding while being completely unique to that student. I welcome all ages and skill levels and am looking forward to helping my future students achieve their musical goals however I can.
