Becky H. instructs students on beginning through advanced flute, clarinet, and saxophone as well as beginner through intermediate oboe. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Instrumental Music Education (K-12) from UW-Platteville in 2001 and has been teaching private and group lessons since 1998. Becky has played and currently plays with many local groups in the greater Milwaukee area. Some groups of note include: Brew City Big Band, The Moonlighters Orchestra, Wauwatosa Community Concert Band, Tosa Jazz, Shorewood Summer Community Band, and more. Becky also frequently plays in pit orchestras for local musical productions for theater companies such as Sunset Playhouse, DSHA (Divine Savior Holy Angels) Theater, Shorewood Players, Port Washington Players, University School of Milwaukee Theater and more. In addition to performing, Becky is a certified Master Level Adjudicator for the WSMA Solo and Ensemble Music Festivals. She also has significant experience coaching students to prepare for the WSMA Solo & Ensemble music festivals, State Honors Ensemble auditions, MYSO auditions, UWAY auditions, college auditions and more. Many of Becky's students have gone on to major in music performance or music education. Becky tailors her lessons to each individual student's needs, interests, and goals.
