Barbara A. is a certified music teacher of 20 years in both the public and private school system. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Music Education from Jackson State University, and is the owner of Performing Arts Academy of CT LLC and Tutors 4 Teachers.Ms. A. is an accomplished opera singer and Broadway star. She has performed in 30 states and 4 countries, sings in 5 different languages, and has featured in notable plays, major films, and commercials. She enjoys the challenge of teaching and training her clients, and has developed her talents as the City Choir Director in Lehigh Acres, Fl, the National Tri-State Choir Director of the Youth Choir in St. Petersburg, FL for COGIC Eastern Jurisdiction, the Youth Choir Director for Kingdom Love Center, and the Show Choir Director for various choirs throughout FL, NY, and CT. She has also worked as a clinician for many church and civic organizations.Barbara continues to perform while transforming the lives of her students all over the world. She is proud of the many artists and musicians she has helped to reach their dreams at the Apollo, Broadway, National and International Stages. Ms. A. is a member of The National Association for Music Education (MENC/NAFME) and the National Teachers of Singing (NATS).
