Welcome to the performing arts studio of Autumn. In my studio, students are provided with a loving and friendly environment. I developed a passion for music at a very young age and want to share my enthusiasm and talent with new students. This is an opportunity where children, as well as adults, will be able to boost their self-esteem and gain confidence about themselves and their abilities! I take time to get to know each one of my students and encourage them to use their artistic abilities and express themselves through emotion and creativity. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Western Michigan University in Elementary Education with a minor in Integrated Creative Arts. My passion has always been music. From an early age, I use to perform at nursing homes as well as sing for church functions. I started taking piano lessons when I was in the 3rd grade. Throughout my high school career, I participated in color guard, solo ensembles, and was accepted into the honors band four years in a row. I am currently teaching Music for Kindergarten through Third Grade at an elementary school in Goodyear. I am using music to enrich student's lives by relating it to their everyday lives as well as showing them how to express themselves to a wide range of genres. I believe music is a gift that everyone should be able to develop and enjoy. I'm here to inspire and ignite a passion for music. In every lesson you can expect to have fun, laugh and work hard. Let the good times begin! "Use your imagination and come create with me" I currently have my in-home studio as well as two other locations where I offer group performing lessons such as show-choir, musical theatre, and group piano. I have locations in both Peoria, AZ and Goodyear, AZ. *** Lesson Details *** Beginners and early intermediate students will be using a published series of books as their primary resource. In our introductory lesson, we will set goals for what you want to accomplish out of music lessons. Students should expect that after the first couple of lessons that we will begin working on basic music theory in addition to site reading as well as rhythm. I do have access to a wide range of music, so I encourage students to also select songs that they are interested in playing. Each lesson will be in a relaxed and fun environment. I want to see students succeed, so it is important that reasonable expectations, as well as regular practice time outside of lessons, are set in order for the student to reach their goals and dreams. *** Studio Equipment *** Electric Piano *** Specialties *** I think outside of the box and get creative with my teaching methods. I am a natural encourager and know how to help students discover their strengths and talents.

Awesome teacher! Autumn is a fabulous instructor with great patience. She is very good at explaining everything the student is learning so the parent can help them with practice at home.

    Experience

    Music Director and Owner

    Music Director and Owner

My name is Autumn, and I began my teaching career here in the Valley in 2005 after moving from the mitten state, Michigan. I began building music programs in 2008 based on the Arizona State Standards. In 2013 I started Autumn’s Treble Makers, after-school music program. Inspiring others and sharing my love and passion for music has been a lifelong dream of mine. It goes back to the days of carrying my little purple boom box around and rolling the windows down at gas stations while singing at the top of my lungs hoping that my talents would be discovered. I come from a musical, artistic background, my dad is a musician, and my mom is an artist. I started performing at my church at a young age and continued to perform in choirs, theater, band and on stage throughout my whole life. I knew I wanted to teach music after my high school band director shared with my parents how he could see such great potential and talent in me. His dedication and belief in me has been one of the greatest gifts and has helped transform me into the person I am today. My goal since I started teaching back in 2005, has been to be that same kind of role model for my students. My grandma always would encourage me to use my imagination, and to this day, I have a very vivid one. It is such a joy to share that with my students and pass on those skills to young performers. Use your imagination and come create with me. I look forward to the opportunity of sharing my love of music with your child.
