Arias recently served as the Graduate Teaching Assistant to Dr. James Stokes at the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University and was previously the trumpet teacher for George Rogers Clarke High School in Winchester, KY; a counselor for the Morehead State University Summer Arts Academy; and an instructor for the West Union Performing Arts Camp. As a private lesson teacher, she has worked with trumpet students in the southern Ohio, central Kentucky, and western North Carolina areas. These students include a semi-finalist in the junior solo division at the National Trumpet Competition and several students that are now
pursuing music as a career.
A native of West Union, Ohio, Arias grew up on a farm in the Ohio Valley where she spent her days either playing the trumpet for her adoring audience (her animals) or out adventuring on the farm with her horses, goats, dogs, and cats. When not playing the trumpet, she enjoys mountain biking, hiking, reading, and adventuring. Arias completed her undergraduate studies in music education at Morehead State University where she studied with Mr. Greg Wing; and recently completed her graduate studies in music performance at Appalachian State University where she studied with Dr. James Stokes.
