Violin with Annette M.

Southern raised and classically trained, Annette has been playing violin since the age of 5 and has been performing publicly and recording since the age of 8. She has been teaching Violin, Viola and Cello in the lower Westchester, NY area for the past four years. In that time she has been on staff as a Teaching Fellow at the prestigious Interlochen Fine Arts Camp as well as performing in the recording studio for various solo artists and bands because of her varied interests in both classical and contemporary [or country/bluegrass] music styles. She studied Suzuki Pedagogy as well as NYSSMA and Royal Conservatory standards for stringed instrument instruction and is able to teach the method preferred by the student/parent. She is able to blend methods for the widest range of instruction for the benefit of her students. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music and her Master's Degree from SUNY Purchase College Conservatory of Music, two staunchly different schools of study which has given her background in music standards and stage performance the diversity not matched anywhere else.
