Note: if there is no time in my availability that works for you - message me - I'm sure we can work something out! Annette Karges holds an M.M. in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music and a B.A. in Music, Piano Performance, and Philosophy from Minot State University. Her ten years of teaching experience include: running her own private studio, teaching as a graduate assistant in the Lamont School of Music and Lamont Piano Prep Program, and teaching with Children’s Music Academy. Annette enjoys guiding individuals of all ages in their discovery of music. As a pianist of seventeen years, she is passionate about continuing to learn and study as much music as humanly possible. Annette enjoys sharing music with others as well as collaborating with her musical friends. For younger students, Annette teaches with clear curricular goals in order to give them a solid and diversified foundation in music. For older students, she gives them the opportunity to be somewhat more self-directed in their approach, while still quipping them with a well rounded musical education. Annette grew up on a farm/ranch in North Dakota and loves finding creative inspiration in the outdoors - whether it’s the wide open spaces of the plains, or the mountains of Colorado. She enjoys spending time with friends, hiking and running with her side-kick Watson, drinking tea, good books, and happy movies.

Annette is the best! My 5 y/o is pretty shy and Annette won her over quickly. Lessons are varied and at a good developmental pace. Since we've had to transition to online lessons, we've been pleased with how it has translated. Thus far, online lessons are still challenging and yet engaging. Can't recommend sweet Annette enough!

Annette is a fantastic teacher. My 7 year old daughter started learning piano with Annette one year ago and she has grown so much over the course of the year! We are so grateful for Annette's patience, positive attitude, thoughtfulness, and her passion for what she teaches. We absolutely recommend her.
