Independent Piano Studio

- Instruct children and adults ranging in age from 5 – 70 in the fundamentals of playing piano and the basics of music. - Continually assess and adapt to individual learning styles. - Communicate and demonstrate processes for students to encourage independence and initiative in personal practice. - Maintain positive attitude and incorporate constructive feedback to motivate students to excel and increase enjoyment of music.

- Instruct college students in the fundamentals of playing piano and the basics of music in a one-on-one private lesson setting - Substitute teach for Piano Class, a group piano instruction setting for undergraduate music majors - Organize and oversee class registration and lesson scheduling for enrolled students - Assist in teaching private lessons and group piano classes to students (age 5-9) in the Lamont Piano Preparatory program. - Plan lessons and lead class for a weekly adult Recreational Music Making class - Accompany instrumentalists and vocalists during lessons, juries, & performances

Children's Music Academy

- Equip students age 4 – 10 with broad based music foundation in a small classroom environment. - Follow a multi-dimensional curriculum including beginning elements of keyboard skills, singing, theory, ear training, composition, improvisation, & ensemble playing. - Manage and encourage parent/child relationships while working with and instructing parents in classroom. -Advise and encourage new teachers as they join the team.
