I am a professional, caring, and knowledgeable teacher. I believe that every student is an individual and I approach each lesson with that individual in mind. I have experience with all ages and am educated in many different teaching methods and styles. I am a confident believer that any person can succeed in music and enjoy music at some level. Education I began taking piano lessons when I was six years old and I was hooked. I took lessons for 9 years and then resumed again when I was in college. In fourth grade I picked up the flute and the saxophone because I wanted to play in the school Jazz Band. I then took Alto Saxophone and Flute lessons for 8 years all the way through high school. It wasn't until high school that I caught the singing bug when I joined the women’s choir as a sophomore. I quickly caught on and became a member of the concert choir and then the chamber group. We toured to Greece my Junior year singing in churches and even as entertainment on a cruise through the Greek Islands! I hold a bachelor of music education from Chapman University in Orange, CA. I sang in the world renown University Choir and the smaller University singers chamber choir under the direction of choral music legend Dr. William Hall. I was awarded the annual director chosen choir award at the end of my senior year and was selected by my peers as Vice President of the choir during my senior year. During my time at Chapman we toured to the Miami, Colorado, the Pacific Northwest, and Italy, where we sang in St. Marks Cathedral in Venice, the Vatican, and the Sistine Chapel. I received my Master's Degree in Musicology in 2013 and my PhD in 2019, also in Musicology, at Claremont Graduate University. I an active vocalist in the area and a member of the Pacific Chorale. I am also the current Musical Director at St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church in Los Angeles. Music has always been my passion, and I love helping others to experience music in the same way that I have. *** Lesson Details *** Students can expect a fun, exciting, and educational learning environment with me. I am classically trained but have experience teaching jazz, pop, musical theater, and classical repertoire. My students learn the basics in a fun, positive environment geared towards their individual needs. *** Travel Equipment *** I can bring some music, the student should have their own instrument once they decide to take lessons permanently. *** Specialties *** I am a classically trained musician so I really specialize in that, although I do have experience teaching pop and jazz as well.

A Perfect Match Committed, kind, intuitive, highly skilled singer and instructor. Anne is perfect for my daughter, Natalie. Anne has time and again gone way beyond what is required in a voice teacher, and has shown ingenuity and patience where needed (most of the time). I would recommend Anne as voice coach for any young aspiring singer. She will inspire, patiently work through any difficulties, and never ever use negative criticism, but always positive suggestions. An amazing and talented young woman.
