Viola with Anna L.

I am a professional violinist based in the Netherlands, currently freelancing with orchestras internationally and performing regularly with chamber ensembles. I received my Masters from The Juilliard School in baroque violin, in addition to an Artist Diploma and Masters from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. My performing career has a focus on techniques and repertoire from the Baroque and Classical eras. After living in Nashville and the Appalachian mountains for four years, I also developed a passion for old-time American fiddling and making arrangements, which I continue to do professionally with a folk band in the Netherlands. As a teacher, I have experience with all ages and levels: -I have worked as a licensed Kindermusik teacher, and love teaching young children and creating a strong musical foundation. -I have worked with beginner-level violin students of all ages, ranging from working through Suzuki method books with children to arranging popular tunes and classical melodies to teach to adults. -I have worked with advanced students in various settings, including leading high-school orchestra sectionals and giving masterclasses with university students.
