Flute with Anna A.

I am a freelance flutist based in New York City. I have experience as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. Graduating with my Bachelors of Music in Flute Performance from the Hartt School of Music in May of 2018, I am now finishing my Masters in Music from the University of New York. While I am an aspiring orchestral musician, I am also passionate about chamber music and collaborating with other musicians. During my time at Hartt and NYU, I have performed with the Hartt School Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, the NYU Orchestra, as well as the hart School Contemporary music ensemble, and performed recitals as a soloist, and as a member of my flute quartet and flute and guitar duo. I have had a wide variety of experiences with performing different styles and types of music. As a teacher, I would love to pass on some of my knowledge and experience on to all of my students. I am an adjunct flute instructor at NYU, and through this position I have taught many students at all different skill levels with different goals. I am a flexible teacher, and am able to cater my teaching style to the students' goals, level, and learning style. I of course want all my students to have a strong foundations of fundamental flute playing, which starts with strong technique and sound. From there, my students are free to chose the repertoire they would like to study. My most important goal as a teacher is to make sure all my students enjoy there experience with music, and share my love of music and flute playing.
