Music Theory - Learn all the tips and tricks!
I have been teaching Music Theory & Ear Training to elementary school kids, adult learners at colleges, to people learning for fun! I have tips and tricks to make music theory easy and engaging. Music Theory is not as hard as it sounds - as long as we lay the foundation and understand the basic concepts. I can also help you with preparation for quizzes and exams in a short amount of time.
My students have told me they finally have an understanding and have an easier approach to music theory after learning with me! Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions. I am open to teaching all levels and getting to know about your learning needs/goals!

Anyone wanting to play the Oboe or learn Music Theory is welcome! I am an experienced oboist and a teacher. I have a Doctorate degree in oboe and minor in Music Theory (Yale, University of Southern California, and University of Texas at Austin) and I have been teaching since 2009. I am currently on faculty at colleges and schools teaching students of all levels! My lessons are fun, interactive and intuitive. I am open to discussing about your goals and needs. Angela has recently started teaching my 12 year old son the oboe. He had played the clarinet and wanted to start learning the oboe, and his first time playing the instrument was with Angela. He now likes the oboe so much he brought it on vacation with us! Never happened with the clarinet. :) Angela has been kind, patient, and easy to deal with throughout, I highly recommend working with her.

Angela has definitely made every lesson useful teaching me several breathing, fingering and reed tips. She has definitely made me a better oboe player and is my favorite Oboe teacher so far!
