Upright Bass with Andrew P.

I am a bassist, music educator, composer, and studio musician. I have a degree in Music Education and a degree in Jazz Studies, both from the Fredonia School of Music. At Fredonia I was President of the Jazz Workshop, performed in the Symphony Orchestra, three different jazz bands, and hosted a weekly live-music jazz radio show. I have been playing bass for almost 15 years and gigging with various bands for 7. I have experience playing in rock bands, wedding bands, funk bands, jazz bands, and I even toured the United States and Canada with an Irish band. In addition to performing, I compose music for video games in a variety of genres. I grew up in Rochester and took every opportunity I could to take in the city's rich musical culture. Such a diverse and engaging environment has informed me as a musician and shaped how I approach music. I believe in guiding musicians to be well-rounded, focused, passionate about their art, and set up with the tools necessary to be successful in achieving their musical aspirations, whatever they may be, in the future.
