Growing up, my dream job consisted of putting a constant smile on people's faces. Upon graduating high school, I started teaching music when I was 18 years old. My boss handed me a couple of students to teach and I drove to their house. I still remember when they were grumpy that they weren't making as much progress as I should. After working with them for a few months, they gradually warmed up to me and they attended class with a smile on their face. This was the dream job that I was looking for! Ever since my first experience teaching students, I decided to become a piano teacher and I have taught students ranging from all ages. I've had older adults ask me whether it's too late to learn or not, but I would argue that they have a stronger fervor for music at this age. Teaching music to students always brings a sense of happiness towards me, especially when they start making progress with their favorite classical or pop music piece.
