Have FUN learning the Drums with a Profession Drum Set Instructor/Player

As a Drum Teacher for the past seven years, I specialize in early childhood percussion education, beginning drum set for young adults/adults looking to pick up the instrument, as well as middle school to high school aged students playing in school bands. My goal is to always keep lessons fun and interesting while moving students to the next steps in their learning process. As a working professional I have experience with knowing what drummers need to know in order to obtain a gig. And as a life long student I know exactly what beginners need to learn in order to achieve a solid foundation on the instrument. If you schedule a 30 or 60 minute lesson I am able to bring a small suitcase drum set with me to your home, if you schedule a 90 minute lesson I am able to bring a small portable drum set for students who do not have one to play on. I am a Drum Instructor and Professional musician. I have a set number of students I work with in my area and am currently accepting a select new number of students. Aside from teaching, I am also a professional musician who spends majority of my weekends playing with working bands in my area. I have a two year certificate as well as a minor in Music to go along with my Bachelor's Degree from Cal State Long Beach. Being a life long student I have had the privilege of studying with true masters of this instruments such as: Peter Buck, Brooks and Chad Wackerman, Daniel Glass, and Nate Morton, just to name a few. I find that I not only take what I learn from these professionals and apply them to my own success, but am also able to apply them to my students' success as well. Teaching the drums is one of my greatest passions and I take it seriously, but at the same time I focus on my students having fun. I am also able to customize each lesson based on the age, skill level, and interest of the student.

My son has been taking lessons with Andrew for about 4 yrs. He is a busy high school, drum-line/marching band student, but always makes time weekly to meet with Andrew. Not only is Andrew a skilled drummer and a great teacher, but is also a kind soul. He is great with communication, is very quick with responses, and is flexible when we cannot make our scheduled lesson. We highly recommend Andrew Lovelady.
