Drums with Andrea N.

I’m a drummer originally from Italy but living in New York City for 2 years. I’ve been in love with the drums since I was 12, first playing along to any Led Zeppelin records that my father had and shortly after that my dream was to sub for Chad Smith in RHCP, unfortunately it never came true but I’m still working on it. I had played in different rock bands around my little town (it’s really a small village called Osimo in the countryside of Marche, bellissimo!), my main one was The Malox Rock Band where I started to introduce myself as a songwriter too. By the time I was 17, I had fallen in love with the drumming of the jazz legends Art Blakey, Philly Jo Jones and Tony Williams. From that moment on I decided that I wanted to do THAT or the rest of my life. In 2014 I enrolled in the Royal conservatory of The Hague where I graduated in Jazz Drums, then I moved to New York to start my masters at SUNY Purchase in 2018. Now I have two music degrees (Bachelor and Masters) and luckily during all these years I had the privilege to share stages with the contemporary masters of Jazz such as Ingrid Jensen, George Braith, Dena De Rose, Gary Smulyan, Joe Magnarelli, Pete Malinverni, Joe Farnsworth, Peter Beets and many more.
