The stunning touch on the piano keys and spectacular ear for sound that solo pianist/artist Amir S. has developed throughout the years can all be traced back to a lifetime spent completely immersed in the art of music. From his earliest days as a young child, Amir discovered an immediate connection to playing piano; and every day thereafter has contributed to a journey he’s embraced with open arms. Born into a family of musicians, he began to play at only five years old, and he’s never looked back since. With intense dedication and unbridled passion, young Amir pursued his dreams at full force. Learning his craft as he grew up into a man, nothing could get in between Amir and his studious approach to music – and before long, he’d unlocked a treasure trove of skills & talents that set him far apart from the rest. Continuing his education long past his childhood, he would go on to be accepted at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music, where he refined his style & sound with remarkable professionalism & began to reveal to the world just unique & special his gift for entertaining & making music would soon become. Surrounded by love, support, & encouragement at all times – from family to friendships, it was instantly apparent that Amir was making powerfully melodic music that spoke directly to the hearts and minds of all who listened. Inspired by legendary artists from Art Tatum to Hank Jones, Bud Powell to Duke Ellington, and everything he could get his ears around in between – Amir dove into the history of music to create and form his own identifiable signature style as a composer and Neo-Soul/Jazz pianist. Excited to share his God-given talents with the world awaiting, Amir began to establish his music with an online presence, releasing cover-songs onto the Internet as early as 2010. Continually challenging himself to evolve as an artist and find incredible new ways to entertain the masses, he played many live shows over the years to follow, eventually heading from Boston, MA, to the music-mecca of New York, where he currently resides. Throughout his career to-date, he’s been blessed with the opportunity to open for icons like Harry Connick Jr., and even played directly for the Archdiocese of New York himself. On Stage, Amir is a talented and versatile performer. In lessons, Amir is energetic, compassionate, and creative. You can expect a laid back, yet focused environment.
