Prior to my lessons with Amanda, I had zero singing experience. I had never been in any choir, never worked with any instructor, and I only really sang during long car rides or occasional karaoke nights. While I had an interest in learning how to sing, I was not sure how to begin or if voice lessons were a good idea.
Well it turns out taking lessons with Amanda was not just a good idea - it was a great idea!
I've only had several lessons thus far, and I feel like I have already learned so much. Amanda works closely with you to understand "your" voice, and what areas you need to focus on. She is encouraging and enthusiastic, but also strives to bring out the best in her students. Amanda provides very specific feedback and tailors her lesson structure to suit your needs. She also provides plenty of great voice exercises to help you build a proper foundation for learning to sing.
What surprised me the most however was how much I've been enjoying these lessons. They are genuinely fun, and it's something I've been looking forward to each week. If you have any interest in learning to sing (regardless of your skill level) - then I highly recommend taking singing lessons with Amanda.
Amanda was great at explaining things. She really had patience with all my questions.
She is very loving and caring with her students. My daughter is very happy with her and I am happy and thankful that I found Amanda. She has a very positive talking that help students self esteem. ❤️
I have never played piano before and decided to buy a "teach yourself" piano book for adults. I was doing ok, but at times I found myself confused with certain things and having trouble reading the bass clef. I decided it would be helpful to start taking lessons from a professional teacher to help with my challenges. I am so glad I made that decision!! I have only had 3 lessons so far with Amanda and l have already learned so much!! She has helped me read music and taught me great strategies that really make playing the piano more fun and easier to understand. I highly recommend her!!+ Read More

Highly engaging music teacher for children
Amanda R has been coming to my home to teach my daughters, ages 6 and 8, piano and music theory (reading music, etc) for several months now. We are very pleased with her. After a series of private and group lessons with other highly qualified teachers, we finally found all we were looking for with Amanda. She is well-spoken, well-educated and very professional both in person and in email or phone communication. She engages the children from the first moment and is very patient with them. They trust her and enjoy working with her. Amanda was able to quickly see what the girls already knew and where their knowledge had gaps, and to tailor lessons to their abilities and interests. The practice she assigns during the week is very reasonable/not overwhelming. the girls show a very good improvement in their music skills! I would recommend Amanda to any family looking for a music teacher for their children. She clearly has a passion and gift for working with kids!
A very good teacher
I think miss Ramus should get a 5 star rating because she teaches at a pace my daughter is comfortable with, and if there's trouble she'll be helpful and quick to fix it, also she takes teaching the guitar seriously but is very nice to my daughter, one last reason why I think that she should get a five star rating is because she's a great teacher! She is an expert at what she teaches and is always on time she not only teaches you guitar she teaches you basic music notes and sight reading to help you play better, I hope you see why I think that she should get a five star rating.
Amanda has been teaching my 9 yr old daughter, Kaylee, for about 6 months now and it's amazing to see how much she has learned and progressed!! Kaylee looks forward to her lessons with Amanda every week and really enjoys playing. Amanda has been a great teacher, she is very professional and yet makes the lessons fun and relaxed so the students feel comfortable. We couldn't have picked a better match for our daughter.
