I have always been passionate about helping other people. Although I haven't always been interested in teaching, tutoring others, and helping people in a one-on-one setting is something I do best. I find that on an individual basis, I can discover your strengths and build upon them to help you be the best learner you can be. As a tutor, I believe that every student can learn, regardless of what the current struggle is. I use humor and encouragement to help my students learn the material and encourage my students to "practice" the material we reviewed in our sessions using any method they enjoy, because I feel that part of my job as a tutor is to help my students develop their internal motivation. I have experience working with both children and adults. I graduated from UCLA in 2012 with a degree in Linguistics and Spanish and am currently a grad student at UC Davis studying Linguistics. I also have a TEFL Certificate from UC Irvine, and spent 2 years living in Taiwan.
