I am an experienced private music instructor in drums and piano. I have been playing piano since age 8, violin since age 13, and drums since age 15. Music has always been a passion of mine, and it was my intention to pursue a music degree upon entering university. After discovering my passion forteaching children with disabilities and switching my major to special education, I decided to continue sharing my love of music with others by teaching private music lessons. I have taught students from ages 3 to 55 with different backgrounds and varying abilities, including those with special needs. I believe in everyone's potential to learn and have lots of experience with meeting students where they're at, personalizing and differentiating lessons for their level. Music is a language; you must be able to speak it, listen to it, read it and write it in order to be "fluent". I work on all of these skills with my students to help them succeed in meeting their musical potential and achieve their goals while having fun!
