Hailed for her "exquisite coloratura" (South Florida Classical Review), Ms. Alyssa Click was most recently seen as Johanna in Sweeney Todd with Lowell House Opera. This summer, she was contracted with Charlottesville Opera as an Apprentice Artist to sing Silly Girl and understudy Madame in Beauty and the Beast as well as in the chorus of La Bohème (canceled due to COVID-19). The pandemic has not prevented her from performing, however, and she has compiled a collection of virtual performances in collaboration with performers and companies across the country. Students of Alyssa have recently performed as: The cast of Thr Music Man Jr. The cast of The Little Mermaid, Jr. Lancelot in Spamalot Charlie Brown in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown Witch in Ten in a Bed Mrs. Banks in Mary Poppins Leading Player in Pippin As a lover of pedagogy, Ms. Click opened her private voice studio with the help of the NAU Community Music and Dance Academy in 2015 and now teaches primarily online to students across the country. Most recently, she has joined BrightSpot Theater as a Song Performance Masterclass Teacher to coach and direct young singers. She taught at Brookline Pierce School as the Music Director, Chorus Master, and Conductor (2019). Ms. Click is a strong advocate of movement for young performers and taught pre-ballet for ages 4-6, hip-hop for ages 5-6, and musical theatre dance for grades 1-4 at The Village Dance Studio (2019). In the summer of 2014, she accepted the positions of music director and choreographer with the Pinewood Players Drama Camp in their production of Rock Around The Block, returning to the company where she began her performing career in the summer of 2003. Skills taught include: vocal technique, repertoire, musicianship, sight reading, audition preparation, role preparation, and an emphasis in an overall healthy style of vocalization in any genre. Alyssa teaches mainly musical theatre and classical repertoire.

Alyssa is an upbeat, encouraging, and patient teacher. Her own singing voice is beautiful, and she sings very professionally in a wide range of genres. She is reliable, pleasant, sincere, and capable. She gives each student her full attention and tailors her lessons to each one's particular talent (as well as where they're in need of improvement). I recommend Alyssa very highly... She's delightful!
