My mission is to instill a love and passion for music through a personalized curriculum. All humans are given unique gifts and abilities, which must be nurtured. Dr. Allison Ernst provides a personal and intuitive approach, encompassing classical techniques with a modern touch. Lesson plans are individually curated for each musician to meet them where they are in their studies and support them to reach new domains. Each student's repertoire is selected based on their own unique tastes and styles, with a specific focus on piano performance, music theory, music history, and sight reading.

About Allison E.
Dr. Allison, is a dedicated and passionate performer and teacher. Upon making her way to Nashville, she has taken on the role of Adjunct Professor of Music at Volunteer State Community College. An avid leader within music education, she serves as the Newsletter Editor for Tennessee Music Teachers Association and Treasurer for the Nashville Area Music Teachers Association. She is also the owner and founder of Dr. Allison’s Piano
Studio, previously known as Aunt Ali’s Music Studio. Her work as a concert pianist has taken her all over the United States, performing solo, chamber, and concerto works across the country.
Originally from Kalispell, Montana, Allison received a Doctor of Musical Arts in Historical Performance
Practices from Claremont Graduate University, a Master of Music in Piano Performance from California
Baptist University, and a Bachelor of Arts-Music from Seattle University.
