    Hi there! My name is Alix. I've been playing acoustic guitar for over 5 years. I started playing when I asked my dad to help me learn my favorite song on the radio at the time. After hours of practice, I realized that I loved playing guitar! A couple of years later, I started writing my own songs and performing on weekends. I've played countless shows, recorded in studios, recorded my own work, and played with many great musicians, but having practically grown up in my mom's third grade classroom, I want to give back the gift of music by teaching. I'm ready to teach you or your child the joy of playing guitar while we learn some cool tunes and bring out your own compositional creativity along the way! I am also able to teach bass guitar and ukulele lessons! I have over four years experience in both. On the side, I offer classes on various computer programs, recording your own music at home, and numerous academic subjects.I look forward to talking with and teaching you!

    One of my hobbies I'm most passionate about is tea! I work at the Garden Tea Lounge in San Antonio, TX as a tea steeper and server. We brew and package over 40 different kinds of organic artisan teas and as a guest you can come in, enjoy some tea, scones, panini lunch sandwiches, and listen to great local musicians and poets!

    I started my own record label back in 2012 with my singer/songwriter cousin, Alison. Since then, I've release three EPs under the label and have my first full length record releasing in March of this year! While working as an independent musician, I have met so many amazing people, professionals, venue owners, etc and have learned so much about the music industry itself. As well as being you're guitar/ukulele/bass teacher, I am more than happy to be your mentor and help you navigate through the music scenes in your area!
