I strongly believe that at the root of all musical learning is a growth mindset. Learning how to love and encourage yourself with patience yet also a desire to learn more is what will set you apart not in your musical skills, but your life skills. Not only will you become more skilled on your instrument, but you will learn to view playing piano and singing not just as an activity of copying what is on the page, but finding out how it personally relates to your interests and self-expression. Composing will be less anxiety inducing and more of an opportunity to explore and generate new ideas! Outside of these activites, you will see this way of viewing music as a means to view your life and learn how to acquire new skills/tackle challenges you thought you never thought you could face. These are the foundations for a life of success and fulfillment. :)
