I worked as a teacher/grader at Kumon Learning Center at Exton, Pennsylvania in high school. My students were as young as 7 years old and learning math far beyond their grade level. Working at Kumon gave me a lot of insight in how to teach younger children, and it also showed me that natural talent takes a back seat to discipline. Aside from Kumon, I had also participated in my high school's musical mentorship program in which members of the band went to different elementary schools in the district to teach them music performance and theory. My musical journey included classical piano training to OSU's jazz combos. I enjoy helping others with their educational pursuits because I know that I am imparting skills that they need to realize their future. Furthermore, I am eager to teach in a more personable 1-on-1 fashion, so that I can adjust my methods to better suit the students' style of learning. Currently taking a semester off from pursuing my Computer Information Systems degree.
