I am a bassist, pianist, composer, arranger, songwriter, performer, and band manager studying jazz at the graduate level at Portland State University. I manage various groups that play around the PDX Metro area. I also compose classically, and majored in classical composition and theory at Lewis & Clark College where I earned a B.A. in 2014. I play jazz, funk, R&B, classical, pop, fusion, and a broad variety of other musical genres on a regular basis. I love teaching music, and am especially passionate about teaching music theory to students, as it provides a solid foundation and understanding of the art form which can be applied in various facets throughout an individual's musical journey. In addition to performing and managing groups, I also transcribe and arrange songs on a regular basis, and am very familiar with the notation program Finale. I've written for orchestra, choir, jazz bands, and various other ensembles.
