Hello! I'm from Venezuela, a country that has a lot of rhythms and music colors.
I started at the age of 6 and then formally at the age of 12 (a little bit late). I studied at the Simon Bolivar Conservatory in Caracas and then I moved to the US.
Here the mix of different cultures and music has created a deep impact on me, so I tend to create interesting programs for my students. Music that goes from J.S. Bach to Samuel Barber, or from Igor Stravinsky to Juan Vicente Lecuna.
I also have attend masterclasses of wonderful teachers such as Simone Dinnerstein, Yoheved Kaplinsky, András Schiff, Jerome Lowenthal and Hung Kuan Chen. Experiences that have been very enriching.
In Venezuela, I also studied venezuelan piano music with the pianist and composer Luisa Elena Paesano, and with pianist Guiomar Narváez. They impulsed me in a way that I started to work with the contemporary composers that are still alive and that still create academic music inspired in Venezuelan rhythms and flavors.
It will be very exciting to share all these experiences with my future students!
