Accomplished, goal driven teacher with a passion for the impact early childhood music has in a community.  Music is the foundation for future piano and vocal students.  I believe our role as parents is to provide the invaluable experience of music education to our children.  Expressing this form of art, allows them to positively contribute to and be proud of their community.  My gratification comes from shaping the lives of children who are learning and loving music. Instruction includes sight-reading, proper technique, theory, ear training and basic skills to play piano successfully. 
 Computer instruction includes technology that aids in ear training, theory, sight-reading, composition, music history and listening skills.

• Ability to match student with their preferred musical style which then reveals their talents & holds their interest. 
• Seasoned teacher who researches and encourages performance opportunities 
• Provides written communication, feedback and regular status to parents as needed 

Lessons generally follow the school calendar. I cannot follow all holidays. Check with me at least a week before a holiday to confirm schedule. There will be no tuition reimbursement nor make-up lessons offered on missed lessons. Should a student miss a lesson, the assigned music will AUTOMATICALLY be placed in the student’s file. Make arrangements to pick up missed music. Students should retrieve the music quickly to allow plenty of practice time before the next lesson. Failure to pick-up music may cause the student to fall behind the class. Make-up lessons will be offered for cancellation due to inclement weather of teacher illness. Parents will be notified of cancellation and rescheduled time. No tuition credits or make up lessons are given. Parents or the student should call at least 24 hours in advance if lessons will be missed. Assignments may also need to be given for missed lessons.

With a Bachelor Degree with Music Education from Western Kentucky University in 2001, Alecia has over 15 years experience with piano instruction and brings a wealth of diverse range of education resources and fun!
