    Alec Burke graduated in December 2015 with a degree in Music Education. In the past, Alec has served as the trumpet instructor and staff musician for Music for the Sake of Music in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Alec has participated in many of BSU’s top performing ensembles, such as Wind Ensemble and Jazz I. Additionally, he served as section leader with the Pride of Mid-America Marching Band. While at BSU, Alec also participated in multiple community performances with the Trumpet Fanfare Ensemble led by Dr. Brittany Hendricks, which attained national recognition and premiered at the 2014 ITG convention for Mark Gould. Most recently, Alec performs as lead trumpet and tours with the Norwell High School Show Choir, and has worked as the high brass mentor for the Strings and Jazzy Things camp in Indianapolis since 2013. He is an active member of several professional organizations such as NAfME, NBA, and ITG. Alec thrives as a leader and is an effective and creative collaborator.
