My son hated the flute and refused to practice. At school concerts he would fake play. We took a few lessons with Alaunde and suddenly he was spontaneously practicing and having fun. She was great, set up a recital for him and played with him so he didn't feel embarrassed. She is very nice, patient and encouraging, the perfect teacher!+ Read More
Alaunde is among the most talented musicians in Colorado. It always makes me a better musician to work with her. While I play and teach harp, I also have taken flute lessons from her. She is committed to her art and to sharing it with others. She helped me find the best technician in the area to refurbish my flute and she inspired me with her skill and humor to challenge myself to be a better musician. It is a privilege for any student to have the opportunity to work with a world class musician such as Alaunde. I can't speak more highly of her.+ Read More
Alaunde was by far my favorite teacher for flute. She helped me come up with ways to motivate me to practice often, and lessons with her were always fun. Out of all my teachers (three total) I feel that she helped me progress the most. And in additon to being a fantastic teacher, she was also a wonderful friend.+ Read More
My flute classes have been fun, interesting, engaging and very professional. I would definitely recommend her
Alaunde is a flutist with a big heart, a huge sound and ferocious technique. She's one of the finest musicians I know. If my daughter were interested in flute (instead of French horn) Alaunde would be at the top of my list of teachers.
Professor of Music
Alaunde is an incredible musician. I (myself a musician, piano and violin) have known her since she studied flute at the Manhattan School of Music over 20 years ago while studying at Columbia University. She is intelligent, thoughtful, and caring and a supremely talented, sensitive and inspiring musician. Her ability to understand the whole student, while advancing their knowledge of the flute, makes her an ideal teacher.+ Read More
Alaunde is an excellent performer and teacher, and she's also a unique person, one of a kind. She's that rare performer who is naturally interesting.
Alaunde is a great teacher and wonderful person. Highly recommended!
I was involved in a concert of new music with Alaunde. She was great to work with - terrific attitude and music-wise totally prepared - as were some of her students who also participated in various ensembles. I whole-heartedly recommend Alaunde as a totally professional and inspired performer and teacher.+ Read More
Alaunde was such an important presence in my daughter's life. Throughout the years, the lessons gave her confidence and always put her in a great mood throughout her teen years.
