French Horn with Alana Y.

Hi! I'm Alana, and I'm a professional freelance horn player in Los Angeles. I'm a graduate of The Juilliard School and UCLA, where I was awarded teaching fellowships and received my professional education. My students can expect to improve week to week in their horn playing technique. Every student brings in a unique set of experiences to lessons; I identify key goals in each student's playing and apply foundational techniques in order to unlock their own individual sound. I can help any student to perform with freedom, confidence, and expression. As a professional recording artist, I've performed with groups including The Beach Boys, Jackson Browne, and Gaby Moreno. In addition to my live performance career, I also have a blossoming YouTube channel, where I post French horn ensemble arrangements and music videos, and I perform several nights a week on my Twitch music channel. I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!
